Modern Family. This love this show! It's my new addiction. I just started watching this show the other night, and I just got caught up on all 18 episodes. I can't believe I haven't been introduced to this show sooner. It's just my type of comedy, it has that dry humor, awkward comedy, thing that I love in shows like The Office (I'm expecting to see a lot more shows like this in the near future). I mean, I know it's been around. I have seen commercials for it and stuff, but from what I can remember their commercials never looked that appealing. Maybe their marketing is bad, or maybe I just have a terrible attention span and didn't focus in on the commercials. Probably the second.
According to Wikipedia: "The Mockumentary follows the families of Jay Pritchett (Ed O'Neill), his daughter Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen), and his son Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) who live in Los Angeles. Claire is a homemaker mom in a traditional family, married to Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell); they have three children. Jay is married to a much younger woman, Gloria (Sofía Vergara), and is raising a pre-teen stepson. Mitchell and Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) are a gay couple who have adopted a Vietnamese baby, Lily."
I love how this show does a kind of "John and Kate plus 8" dealio. They have their moments where they sit down and talk to the camera, but when they are doing their living-life thing, they ignore the cameras, and don't constantly look at them, like The Office (not that that bothers me on The Office, I actually like it. I'm just saying it's a cool system they have).
But for real, I love the little kid and how he is the "Prince of Passion", and Gloria is just supporting him evertime he goes to ask out a girl that is 3 years older then him, and Jay hates it.
Anyway, these are just a few of my thoughts about this show. I'm glad they renewed it for a second season and hopefully a lot more in the future.
I love this show. I agree that Phil is probably the funniest. I've only seen through episode 15, so I have 3 more to watch.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice show
